Aoudad Barbary Sheep Hunting In Texas

Where can you hunt Aoudad SHeep? | Texas Aoudad Ram Hunting | When is Barbary Sheep Hunting Season?

Aoudad or Barbary Sheep are becoming an iconic symbol in Texas hunting. Originally an imported species, these sheep have slowly become native to certain parts of Texas. Here at the CK, our Aoudad Rams are typically 34” +/- with thick beards, a stout posture, and a brawny attitude to accompany their overall look.

Aoudad Hunting

Our Aoudad Hunts can vary in style. For bowhunters, we recommend hunting out of one of our custom-built ground blinds. We also offer tree stands as well as spot and stalk if desired by our guests. For rifle hunters, we can sit in one of our many rifle blinds, or perhaps you’d like to do a safari-style top rack hunt on our custom safari trucks.

Aoudad Info

The Aoudad is an exceptionally fun animal to pursue. Despite their stout size and bulky body they are very elusive and can often disappear like a ghost in the thick Texas hill country brush. Aoudad typically rut in the fall from September to November. However, spring is an exceptionally great time of year to pursue Rams.
